Breitling Cosmonaut overhaul and finally Instagram

Hello everyone! This is Nono from Matsuno Watch Shop. The other day, I was writing a blog and suddenly thought of something and wrote an article about "Let's get a watch shop in Tokyo to sell our watch to us." It seems like we're making progress. Lucky for you.

No, it was a business meeting. I was browsing the internet and Instagram on my day off, and I thought to myself, this store's website is really cool!!

So, when he came all the way to our store, I asked him, with a completely stupid look on my face, "Can I set up an online store for you?" and he said, "Sure."

Anyway, I don't have time to update my online shop, and I don't have time to repair my reused products either, but one day my online shop, which has a reputation for being shabby, might be transformed into a stylish and stylish one.

It's a good idea to try and get some of the reused items I've been putting aside for a while. I might have to start using them soon.

When we discussed the products we wanted to sell, we realized that there aren't many stores that sell vintage chronographs. Apart from the expensive ones,

Although the name is not well-known, I thought it would be interesting to release a chronograph with a nice atmosphere at an affordable price. I'll also post about the overhaul process. So, I'm thinking of updating my Instagram, which has been left to rest for a while, in conjunction with that.

Please become a follower. I haven't done anything yet though. So from now on, there may be more photos taken with my cell phone.

Please follow me on Instagram at Matsuno Watch Shop. I haven't done anything yet. Um, will it go viral? Um, it looks great! Looks great? ... Um, will it have a hashtag? Will it be tagged? ... Instagram is difficult. I don't really get it.

Well, I tried taking photos with my cell phone as a practice, but it didn't work out. I asked about the lighting and how to take photos, but... I guess it's just a sense. I don't have it. Today's photo is Breitling.

Breitling Cosmonaut Venus 178

Sorry that the photos are so big. This is what happens when you take them with a smartphone instead of your usual camera. The resolution is higher, but the size is not so good.

Well, it's a Breitling Cosmonaut, and the movement is Venus 178. Is this the movement for a vintage Breitling? The condition is that the small hand has fallen off, and the push button has also come off. There don't seem to be many stores that will accept it, so I'm just trying my best.

Push button order

First, I checked the exterior push button to see if it was in good condition. However, there were signs of previous tampering. The button is secured with a screw, but the screw was worn down and would not engage.

I thought about re-threading the screws, but the button on the receiver was also deteriorating. Even if I tried to fasten it, it would probably fall off soon, so I ordered a new one.

Even the current model of the pusher is difficult to obtain, but I managed to import an older model through personal import. It was genuine. I'm glad. I will consult with the customer and proceed with the work.

Can you enlarge it?

I tried out the idea I heard about from the stylish Tokyo shop "Albitro" that you can magnify a photo by attaching a magnifying glass to the lens. Hmm, it's difficult.

For the time being, I'm assembling it smoothly, but when I finally activate the chronograph, it stops for some reason. The clock that stopped for some reason last time was this Venus. Hmm, I adjusted the meshing of the gears, adjusted the jumpers, checked the runners, and checked many other things, but it still stopped.

Excited! Then, when I looked closely, I noticed that the teeth on the transmission wheel were deformed. It's much easier to see after enlarging it, and you probably can't tell from the photo, but the teeth on the lower gear where I painted with magic marker are deformed.

The teeth of the chronograph runner are very fine, and even the slightest deformation will cause the watch to stop and not engage. Normally, this would be replaced, but first we adjusted the teeth with sandpaper (sandpaper!?) and see how it goes.

The focus is on the tools...

I wonder if there's a macro button... When I take pictures with my cell phone, the focus is sometimes right and sometimes not. When I think it's right and press the shutter, it goes out of focus and then the shutter clicks. I guess it's because my cell phone is made in the mainland. Maybe it's because it's cheap (not related).

The resolution is amazing

The photos are beautiful. I've had a lot of people ask me if I could post the disassembly process on my blog, but I think they would prefer photos rather than my pointless stories. If that's the case, I think you'll be able to see more clear photos if you upload them on Instagram.

That's right! The hashtag is Matsuno Watch Shop. Yes, I haven't done anything yet, so I don't have a hashtag or anything. I think people use hashtags. That's cool.

First, I'll wait and see if the gears I adjusted with sandpaper will malfunction. I know I could use sandpaper, but the only way I can think of is to use fine sandpaper and sand it under a microscope. It's really fine.

If it works without any problems, the overhaul will cost about 30,000 yen, and the price of the pusher will be added. Personal imports, not just pushers, will be priced according to market value. Sorry for the sushi restaurant feel. Thank you for using our service!

Speaking of which, the 7mm crown for Rolex that I ordered through personal import has arrived. Roshita-san! I'll get to work on it right away. Sorry to have kept you waiting.

I tried taking a picture next to it

This one is smaller and better. I might start taking pictures this way from now on. Oh, I'll definitely get some Instagram followers.

I'm busy every day, but I hope to be able to post on Instagram in the near future. But maybe not.

That's right, Matsu, who has been suffering from hemorrhoids for a while, has also developed hemorrhoids. Hahaha. He says it's really painful. Serves you right. Hemorrhoids and Hemorrhoids sounds like a comedy duo name. Like Matsuno Hemorrhoids and Hemorrhoids. It's like Hakata Hanamaru and Daikichi, which is good. ...But you should go to the hospital.

Matsu, who is reputed to have a count of yakuman, has a chronic condition, but now he has an additional illness.

Well, let's go to bed. See you next time, it was Nono. Adios! Instagram
