[About this watch]

This is an early model 57GS manufactured in 1965. There is a chronometer at the 12 o'clock position and the Grand Seiko lettering at the 6 o'clock position. There is no significant discoloration on the dial.

The 57GS features thick lugs, a large case for the era, and heavy dolphin hands. The case has been lightly polished. There are already traces of polishing, and the edges of the lugs and case back are rough. Please see the photos for details. Also, the crown has been replaced with only W, not W/SEIKO, so we have priced it lower than usual. The lion medallion on the case back remains in good condition.

It has become non-waterproof due to age.
