Hello everyone! This is No from Matsuno Watch Shop.
Are you watching WC? Did you record the late-night episode and then see the results on a variety show and get disappointed in the morning? Are you tired of the harsh criticism that "Osako is amazing"?
Do you think Argentina got what she deserves m9(^Д^)? And do you think Koyanagi Rumiko m9(^Д^)? Do you think Japan will easily make it to the final tournament? It's okay to think that! That's right! Do you think Kabira is being noisy when he says that?
Do you think Kawashima went to the inside of the goal to catch the ball, that he was bad at it? Do you think his subsequent appeal that the ball didn't go in was too embarrassing? A farce. ...I don't think so.
Everyone is so awful, hahaha. I was surprised to see Lity speaking Japanese normally. Good luck Japan in the match against Senegal. A showdown between two handsome coaches! I think it's so stupid to hype it up like that.
Well, soccer is good, but I have to work, so today I'm going to talk about Lemania. I repaired a rare model of the movement installed in the Omega Speedmaster Pro, so I'd like to introduce it to you.
Buffeller Chronograph
The brand name is Buffeller, now known as Carl F. Bucherer. Originally it was a retailer or a jewelry store, so I don't think of it as a watch manufacturer, but in recent years it seems to be producing its own movements.
Yeah, I don't really know. It's an old brand, and the old craftsmen called it Butcher. It's a hell thrust. If you read it as "BUCHERER", it's Butcher. I don't think you would read it as Buffeller. If you're Japanese. But it's Bucherer.
Lemania engraved Cal.1873
It's a hand-wound chronograph, and the movement is Lemania 1873. It's pretty amazing that it's a model from an era when it was probably a retail store, yet it still has a Lemania movement.
Come to think of it, the spoon-shaped Rolex ring I usually wear has the Bucherer logo on it. Like this one. It must have been a very influential store. Like Wako in Japan? ...I'm not sure though.
As mentioned above, the Lemania 1873 is a movement equipped with a Speedmaster Pro. Other brands that use this movement include Breitling, Heuer, and Sinn. Oh, and I also introduced Franck. I think it's a great hand-wound chronograph.
After disassembly and cleaning
Since the power reserve was not working properly, we first conducted a running test to see what the symptoms were.
However, for some reason, when we tested it, it worked without any problems. We contacted the customer in advance to ask, "It seems to work fine, but would you like to continue using it and see how it goes?" However, they were still worried and asked us to overhaul it.
If the problem does not appear, we report it and ask for your judgment. I don't think there is any shop that will force you to do a repair, but I think this kind of interaction and communication is important.
I thought it would be a hassle to have you know the situation and reply to me, but I still think it's necessary. I'm sorry for the trouble. This owner is a customer who has used our company several times, but it's still necessary. Thank you for always using our service!
We will assemble it.
There are scratches like scratches
As expected, there are scratches due to the age of the product. The long scratch on the right is particularly noticeable, but scratches on the base plate cannot be fixed. Even if you try to polish it to create a hairline, it will end up looking odd and the color will change.
This scratch doesn't affect the operation, but it's not something that would happen with normal use. Hmm, maybe it was made with tweezers during a repair. I feel like this is what happens when you put too much force into the assembly. Careful work is the best.
It's finished!
Finished! But now when I look at the photo, I'm worried about the scratches on the screws. ... Let's polish the screws. I still have a long way to go, I'm nowhere near as good as Yokai Screw Polisher. Oh, by the way, it seems that the original Yokai Screw Polisher is selling diamond paste for polishing screws, so I immediately made a reservation. I'm looking forward to it arriving. I also want to go eat ramen.
Putting the ramen aside, this buffeter will be overhauled, the spring and gasket replaced, and the case cleaned, and will be completed for 30,000 yen + tax. Thank you for always using our service from afar! We will be doing a running test.
Next up is Lemania, the classic Speedmaster Pro
The most common Lemania model is the Speedmaster Pro. Moonwatch. It has a gold base plate, so it's probably from the 1990s. The mainspring has broken and it doesn't work.
Disassembled
Replace the mainspring and you're done!
The repair details are the same, so I'm sorry for skipping over so much. The condition was good and there were no issues other than the broken mainspring (which is definitely a good thing), so I'll introduce it at a faster pace. The points I want to introduce about this model are...
Push button tube cap missing
It is easy to see when comparing it with the normal right one, but the hole on the left is too large. Last time I introduced the crown cover, but this time the button tube cover is missing.
The hole is not widened, but the circular plate has come off. I thought I could replace the tube, but I couldn't get the tube by itself, so I had to replace the whole push button, which would cost about 15,000 yen.
I'll leave it up to you to decide whether you think it's natural to replace it because there is no round board, or whether you think it's just missing and you need to replace it!? (laughs) I'm a cheapskate, so I'll go with the latter.
What's the situation with the lathe?
Well, I took a picture, but I'm not sure. I think I made it out of brass last time, but this time I wanted to make it out of stainless steel, so I think I drilled a hole and cut it through, but I'm not sure.
The rod is supported from the opposite side so that the plate-shaped parts that were cut through don't fly away somewhere. I wonder if you understand, but I'm sure you don't understand. ... THE old way of thinking.
Slam it into the tube
Once the thickness has been adjusted to make a plate-like disk, it is hammered into place with a punch and a chisel. As with the crown, no adhesive is used, but the diameter is made slightly larger than the receiver and hammered in to prevent it from coming off.
I think the original structure is like this, so it will come off eventually, and when that happens, I'll either have to rebuild it or replace the whole set of buttons. Since it's not in a place that you can normally see, I'm doing this not for appearance reasons, but to maintain waterproofing.
It's finished!
Hmm, I can't tell which is which. If it's brass, the color is different, but if it's stainless steel, it's hard to tell. The most important thing is waterproofness, so I tested it after this to check its everyday use.
The Speedmaster doesn't have a strong waterproofing feature, so it doesn't have that much waterproofing. It went to the moon. If you want to prioritize waterproofing, you should go for the Seamaster. It's not widely known that the Speedmaster is weak against water, but the fact that it has two buttons instead of just a crown means that the risk is increased.
Summer is just around the corner, so please be careful with water as much as possible. It's not something you should do immediately, but it can gradually erode the water. The same goes for baths! That's out of the question. Rust is the biggest enemy of watches.
This Omega Speedmaster Pro will be overhauled, with a spring and gasket replacement, and case cleaning, and will be completed for 30,000 yen + tax. The push button lid? Cover? will be free of charge. This was also requested from afar. Thank you!
We have added a new winding machine.
Until now, we had been using quite a number of winding machines (similar to Ferris wheels) that can hold six or seven watches, but they tended to fill up, so we have added more.
As you can see from the picture, four watches can be attached to one bunch (or branch), so 4 x 6 = 24 watches can be run on this Ferris wheel. It's good to be able to attach a lot of watches, but the downside is that they're hard to attach.
I thought I was all set, but still, I had trouble getting it to work. It was an expensive tool. It was a Vergone. It was King Bonbi. But I just had to try.
It's not so bad today, but when it gets hot, the futon mat I put down every year gets too hot and I wake up. So I throw the mat away and lay the futon directly on the floor.
This way it's not hot, but because my skin is exposed, when I wake up my shoulders and back hurt, it's ridiculous. It's strange, I should be sleeping in a king-size bed after I'm over 40. I'm sleeping in the same senbei as when I was in junior high school. ...You know, unexpected things happen.
I don't think something as unexpected as Japan going to the final tournament and beating Belgium will happen. I don't know how many people actually understand the meaning of Senbei Futon. Ah, I'm going to sleep.
See you next time. This is Nono. Adios!
