Hello everyone! This is No from Matsuno Watch Shop. As I mentioned in my previous blog, I went to Tokyo.
A year-end party filled with famous watchmakers. It may be a little early to call it a year-end party, but any reason to drink is fine. Young? Famous watchmakers from the Tokyo area were drinking casually at this very meaningful year-end party.
Last time, I went to a gathering in Tokyo for a day trip, and made the mistake of catching the last Shinkansen train back just a minute before, so this time I stayed at a hotel in Jimbocho, the venue of the year-end party, and I was all set. Well, Tokyo is expensive, so I stayed in a dormitory-like place with shared toilets and bathrooms? It was a bit like a packer's. Well, it's fine as long as I can sleep.
Hato Sensei
First, we visited Albitro, a local, tiny watch shop that we regularly visit, to deliver the repaired item and to say hello.
I made full use of the transfer navigation system without really knowing whether to take the subway or the ground railway (?) in Shibuya. "Thank you for introducing it on your blog," someone said, so I thought I'd introduce it in detail again this time! But I didn't take any photos at all (lol). Sorry.
We were talking about things like, "Could you please look at this watch?" and "Next is this," and before we knew it, time had passed, so I was left feeling reluctant to leave.
We have a lot of interesting vintage watches coming in one after another. Check them out. Next, we'll head to Hato Sensei's place. We'll transfer to the subway again, not knowing if we're on the subway or above ground, and then we'll use the navigation system to get there.
Asking Mr. Hato, No, God, to polish screws
I arrived at the store of Hato-sensei , which I've been talking about on my blog, no, the store of God, 30 minutes late. It's not that I was pressed for time, I just got lost. Sorry.
While listening to various repair stories, I also heard about the zinc block I had received previously. I was very happy to be able to hear directly how to use the zinc block. ...I'm not gay.
I think that he is a really amazing pigeon, or rather a god, that he doesn't hide his techniques and teaches even a country bumpkin like me without any discrimination. I am grateful. I'm not saying that he should show me not only small pigeons but also big pigeons, hahaha. Seriously.
Taking advantage of God's absence to take a secret photo
Sorry for the inconvenience
Fufufufu, so these are the tools he uses, I see, these are the tweezers, fufufufu, what about the screwdriver? ... This one. I don't know what he's thinking, but I took a secret photo. I feel like a spy.
Before God returned, I had been talking to a certain technician, who is a Rolex certified technician. It was really fun to have such an interesting conversation.
Anyone who knows more about this might know? I guess. He was friendly and answered all my questions, so I was able to ask him a lot of questions. Thank you!
To the year-end party
There were some people I met last time and some I met for the first time, but since it was a gathering of watchmakers, the topic was of course watches. Thanks to the goodwill of the organizer, Saku-chan (a famous technician, but I didn't ask if it was okay to post it on my blog, so I'm not linking him), we have a wide range of people in attendance, from craftsmen at major shops to people who run their own repair shops. Thank you, Saku-chan! I'm glad you're younger than me...
Mouse Clock
This is a mouse-like watch that was also featured on God's blog. The gold Louis Vuitton bracelet that went with it was vulgar and good. This is also owned by the technical manager of a famous major shop. I brought another watch, and this is what came out...
Day Date
That's vulgar (meaning it as a compliment). I mean, if you add a few gold bracelets and a square ring to this, you're Arabic, and I'll have it. That's vulgar (I know I'm being persistent, but I mean it as a compliment). He's a great technician, including his career. He's also a former teacher at a watch school.
this
Actually, the owner of this watch was a fan of a watch-related blog before Kami's blog. I think that Kami or this person are famous watchmakers on the Internet. "Well, let's say the spring technology is 100, right? Matsuno is 80, so who knows what my technology is?"...Of course not.
Rolex Blackjack. It's weird that I'm 80, but this was my blog. I'm doing my best. But I don't know. Someone...
Two legends looking at their phones, secretly filmed again (because they wouldn't let me film)
The one on the left is God, the one on the right is Black Jack, and the shady feeling is just like Black Jack. If you are familiar with this photo, you will understand (lol). Everyone left in the middle of the after-party, so these two legends, Saku-chan, the organizer, and I, the country bumpkin boss, were drinking.
It was probably around 2 o'clock at this point. By the way, Kami is a lightweight so it was non-alcoholic. Non-alcoholic, would you be sane to go back to work after this, if you were Kami? But today, he said he would write a blog and go home.
Blackjack Daytona and my sub
I took a photo of the watch, including the commemorative aspect. I was happy to meet a watchmaker who was impressed that such a watch could be made. Since I work in Shizuoka, I don't have the chance to meet major watchmakers from Tokyo, so it was a very fulfilling evening.
The internet is amazing. Thank you Saku-chan. Let's have another drinking party. By the way, what kind of watch are you wearing, Saku-chan?
Sorry for the out of focus picture. H. Moser double spring? Was it that?
You shouldn't take photos while drunk. But H. Moser. And he overhauled it. There are a lot of watchmakers like this. Tokyo is amazing. I look forward to your continued support.
It was raining when I left the shop. I'm sorry I ran back to the hotel without even being able to say hello properly. It was a very meaningful day. I went back to the hotel and collapsed. I thought I could just use the communal bath in the morning, so I opened the door with a hangover in the morning, and when I staggered to the bathroom, I saw a foreigner with a hairy chest and only underwear shaving, so I went home. To Shizuoka. It's no big deal overseas, but it's a turn-off in Japan. It's strange. I got on the Shinkansen while making fun of the old book festival in Jimbocho, and arrived in Shizuoka while sleeping. I reluctantly went to work and worked while thinking I wanted to go home. It was tough. If there is another New Year's party, I'd like to stay overnight. There will be no talk of watches this time. Oh, did you get it on the way? Thank you to everyone who read to the end. Next time, I might talk about watches properly. Maybe it will be about Vespa, pigeons, and Red Bull (laughs). See you next time, this was No. Adios!
