Dugena is a fairly well-known German watch brand.

Although the name sounds German, its roots go back to 1883 when Gottlieb Hauser founded the Swiss watchmaker association Corporation d'Horlogers Suisse in Switzerland.

This became Alpina in 1901 and the company's headquarters moved to Berlin, deepening ties with Germany.

During WWII, the Alpina name was banned from being sold in Germany, so the brand DUGENA was born, an acronym for "Deutsche Uhrmacher-Genossenschaft Alpina".

This watch features a mid-century design and color scheme that is reminiscent of the 1970s. The design of the date display at 6 o'clock, which is the second of the Valjoux 7734s, is irresistible.

The color of the index, which is somewhere between yellow and orange, goes perfectly with the base navy.
